Dpi (dots per inch) in raster graphics (bitmap) is the number of points in one inch, which determines the resolution of bitmap images. Offset printing uses 300 dpi resolution, and large-format printing – from 20 to 30 dpi. In online images the most frequently used resolution is 72 dpi.
